We are treating the symptoms of what ails SUSD rather than the disease killing the district. Part 1
Unveiling the Intriguing Events at the Saugus Union Board Meeting: A Closer Look
Saugus Union had quite the board meeting this past Tuesday; it has taken us a few days to process everything we witnessed. So if you were wondering why Accountable SCV has been so focused on Saugus Union, wonder no more as we watched a sort of chickens coming home to roost moment.
Suppose Superintendent Hawkins wondered why a small army of parents and citizens attended Tuesday's board meetings. She should wonder no longer because the last time, parents tried to quietly express their concerns about a situation by writing a letter to Anna Griese. The Saugus Union Administration (Hawkins, Liz Hand, and others) all acted like a bunch of assholes. They conspired against Anna but, in a way, they also conspired against the parents of Northpark. You had your chance to handle this like adults, but now parents see that the only way they get action is to rub the district’s nose in their own incompetence. The district was sent 33 letters from parents and teachers at Emblem, and they did nothing.
This situation at Emblem Academy only differed from the Northpark in the length of time and scope. We started the meeting with Shannon Kemp reading a Letter from Emblem; teachers worried about retaliation. Fear of retaliation was a common theme at Tuesday's meeting; We started counting all the mentions of retaliation, but after an hour of the same repetitive themes, it all started to sound the same, and we lost count.
"SUSD takes the concerns of parents, staff, and students seriously." ~Colleen Hawkins *lol*
We already know that retaliation against teachers for asking minor questions triggers Colleen Hawkins' imposter syndrome. We have heard numerous reports from current and former SUSD teachers that Hawkins will move a teacher from one grade to another purely based on spite. So what is the big deal with moving teachers from one grade to another? It is Hawkins' version of forced labor punishment. Not only does the Teacher have to move their entire classroom, but they have to purchase new things for the classroom and learn new lesson plans. These kinds of childish shenanigan aren't good for the Teacher or the student; it is only good for the evil Doctor.
We won't be profoundly diving into Sahar Moshayedi's insane behavior, as Moshayedi mirrors the example she got from Hawkins. Like many SUSD hires, Hawkins recruited Sahar Moshayedi from her old stomping ground of Compton. Most of the recruits, like Sahar Moshayedi, that Colleen Hawkins recruits, usually never live in our community—some commuting from as far away as Palm Springs; this is a feature for Hawkins' agenda and not a bug as their loyalty lies with Hawkins and not with our community. These people do not have to worry about running into a pissed-off parent at the grocery store.
Colleen Hawkins told the Signal, "SUSD takes the concerns of parents, staff, and students seriously." Yeah, sure, Colleen, that is why you ignored the parents of Emblem Academy for two years. That is why you ignored 33 letters from Emblem parents. That is why you told Northpark parents not to believe their own eyes? Give us a break.
Another speaker called out to the administration for taking away the Teacher's voices, which is not a surprise since we have already shown that Saugus Teacher Association (STA) President Liz Hand, who is supposed to be the advocate for the Teachers, is waist deep in collaboration with SUSD admins to silence anyone that embarrasses the district. The speaker then dropped a bombshell that SUSD is forcing lower-grade teachers to lie on their time cards because, after further review, "character" does not actually count on SUSD campuses.
One parent who has clearly had enough of Saugus Union's crap was Martha Aguilera. Aguilera has supported SUSD schools for years through her bakery Kokilita Cakes, which we all miss. Martha probably had the funniest moment of the meeting when she called Shannon Gerson "Squirrel Nut Bag" 😂 for using a not-so-anonymous website and social media accounts to attack anyone critical of SUSD's corrupt bureaucrats. Unfortunately, the meat of Martha's public comment was about another problematic issue that Accountable SCV will have to investigate and take a much deeper dive into: the suing of parents who won't sign or go along with the district's Individualized Education Program (IEP). At least 12 parents are being sued by SUSD administrators right now; you can see this by going to this link, clicking the school district tab, and typing in Saugus Union School District. Authoritarian leftists believe that your kids are actually their kids, and you do what they tell you to do or else.
The speaker with the most disturbing revelations of the night had to be this lovely lady. Who called out the SUSD administration for never asking about the Teacher's well-being in the school climate survey. Instead, they deliberately ignore the emotional well-being of their teachers and then expect those same teachers to enthusiastically push the district's "Critical Gender Theory (CGT)" through Student-Centered Learning (SCL). If that wasn't bad enough, the creepy SUSD groomer admins go to individual students, bend down, and whisper in their ear if they know "who ‘Z’ is." "Z" is the Critical Theory (Race & Gender) Barney or Elmo-type character. SUSD creepy administrators couldn't care less if their students can read at grade level; they are only concerned that they know their creepy Marxist mascot.
Parents' and teachers' complaints are almost all directly connected to the SUSD administration's aggressive implementation of Critical Theory (Race & Gender). We know this buzzword triggers responses from leftists who don't take the time to understand Critical Theory; simps like Rebecca Hindman claim she knows for a FACT CRT isn't being taught in our schools. She then thoroughly embarrasses herself by claiming it is a law school class taught in college; it is not, and there is no such thing as CRT 101, 😂 and then she rolls right into the nonsense about teaching all of history. They deny it is being taught but will riot if someone tries to ban it.
Critical Theory is not a class; it is a misguided philosophy that attempts to create a classless utopian society which is why nihilist leftists who love it ramble on about "social constructs." They want to eliminate traditional Western social constructs and implement their twisted social constructs that place everyone in 2 groups the blessed oppressed, which do no wrong, and the hated oppressors, who do no right.
These leftists are obsessed with creating the same results for all. Hawkins getting rid of the Father/ Daughter event that SUSD has had for years is an example of Critical Gender Theory. What is a Father or Daughter anyway they can’t tell you? What about Daughters who don't have fathers? Hawkins will kill all joy to ensure everyone gets the same result no matter what, which is mediocrity and misery.
Hawkins has also implemented a Critical Race Theory concept called "Restorative Justice." Here is a UCLA law school abstract entitled “Exclusion, Punishment, Racism, and Our Schools: A Critical Race Theory Perspective on School Discipline,” written by David Simson. Simson brags about the results of restorative justice, writing, “The Denver Public Schools have also reported significant reductions in out-of-school suspensions after implementing Restorative Justice practices in the 2006–07 school year through the Denver Public Schools Restorative Justice Project. Because of early successes with the program, the program has expanded continuously and, during the 2008–09 school year.” Bragging about having fewer school suspensions because you haven’t been suspending students is like a football team bragging about lowering sacks but implementing a policy where the Quarterback wildly throws the ball anywhere, which resulted in a massive increase in interceptions and a worse overall record but hey fewer sacks.
Yes, schools have been implementing CRT for years; If you don't believe us, search for "Restorative Justice" in SUSD’s meeting agendas & policies. Regulation 5144: Discipline policy, reviewed earlier this year, included "Participation in a restorative justice program." So to the Grandma complaining about why her grandchild is being forced to hang out with their bully, your grandchild is experiencing the results of CRT’s “Restorative Justice.”
We have more on this meeting and will expose why we are just treating the symptoms of what ails SUSD with the Sahar Moshayedi situation rather than fighting the disease that is killing the district.
